Our History

Northshore Baptist Association was organized in 2011 when Chappapeela Baptist Association (1996), Latangi Baptist Association(1956), and St. Tammany Baptist Association (1925) merged into one association. Eighty-six churches along the I-12 corridor from Pearl River, LA, to Livingston, LA, make up the Northshore Baptist Association.

Prior to 2011 the three associations were served by one Director of Missions, Dr. Lawrence Clegg (1980-1997), Dr. Reggie Ogea (1999-2003), and Dr. Lonnie Wascom (2004-2018). The current Mission Strategist is Don Pucik who has served since 2019.

Northshore Baptist Association cooperates with the Louisiana Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention.

Our Staff

Our small team of two is fully dedicated to serving member churches on the Northshore.

Mission Strategist

Don Pucik

Don serves as mission strategist for the pastors and people who make up the Northshore Baptist Association based in Covington, Louisiana. He and his wife Gail have been blessed with three daughters, three sons, and three grandsons.

For over 35 years, Don has been a student of what happens when the Father comes and transforms a human heart.

He explains, “As a boy when I had a toy that stopped working, I would take it apart to see how it worked on the inside. That’s what I did with my life in Christ. When I found myself struggling to live the “Christian life,” I began to explore the Bible to learn how Christians were supposed to work on the inside. That’s when I discovered the rest of the good news: Jesus not only died for me, but now He lives in me! My passion lies in helping others to know and experience Him. I’m His child living in the Florida Parishes of Southeast Louisiana, who continues to be amazed by God’s
love for every human being… especially me!”
