Why this day matters

Healthy churches do not happen by accident.

On September 12, the Northshore Baptist Association is inviting church leaders of every kind for a day built around three emphases essential to the health of any congregation: Organizational Health, Relational Health, and Discipleship Health.

Three plenary sessions with worship, two rounds of practical workshops, lunch together, and a day of fellowship with leaders from across the Northshore and beyond.

Full-day format

Doors open 7:45 AM – Closing at 4:30 PM with coffee, breakfast, and lunch included.

Built for whole leadership teams

Pastors, staff, deacons, teachers, small group leaders, and lay leaders welcome.

Practical tools to take home

Workshops turn each plenary emphasis into concrete application for your congregation.

Three emphases

Relational. Discipleship. Organizational.

A day structured around the three dimensions of congregational health every church needs to pursue with intention.

 01

Relational Health

How a church prevents, engages, and resolves conflict is a direct indicator of its health. Dr. Ogea opens the day with a biblically grounded treatment of relational health, including preparing congregations relationally before conflict ever comes – grounded in a biblical vision of unity, peacemaking, and restoration.

Dr. Reggie Ogea

 02

Discipleship Health

Church health is inseparable from the health of individual Christians. Mark Hallock addresses the fundamental questions of discipleship: What is a disciple? How do you make a disciple? And how do you know when you have made one?

Mark Hallock

 03

Organizational Health

What does a healthy church actually look like? Brandon Langley closes the day with a focus on the biblical portrait of the church.

Workshops: Tools for the Toolbox
