Job Title: Preteen Minister / Coordinator
Job Type: Part-time (10-12 hrs weekly)
Church: Northshore Church
Purpose: To serve God by leading a ministry to preteens (4th-6th) and their families at Northshore Church.
Requirements:
- Evidence of a growing walk with the Lord
- Meet and work with the children’s minister weekly for ministry oversight and planning. Report to the children’s minister for growth, ideas, and feedback.
Weekly Responsibilities:
- Lead and disciple 456 students in conjunction with a team of awesome preteen leaders!
- Equip and support competent adult team members during the Sunday gatherings and attend a worship gathering at 9am or 10:30am. Provide support for both, but attend one of the gatherings.
- Lead and support the preteen group on Wednesday evenings (5:30-7:30pm).
Monthly Responsibilites:
- Be creative in event planning and work with parents and team to carry out at least six (6) 456 events annually. Plan at least 2 – 3 events specifically for 4th-6th graders during the summer. (Such as movie night, bowling event, lock-in, Christmas party, mission project, etc.)
- Work with leaders to send birthday cards, and we miss you cards
- Maintain and organize 456 classroom & supplies
- Attend Kids Camp as a chaperone and serve at summer events optionally.
